Weight Watchers has added the iPhone app for it’s members that are e-tools subscribers. The Weight Watchers Blackberry app and Weight Watchers Points Plus Android applications are yet to be released but are soon to be released according to Weight Watchers. However Weight Watchers now provides smartphone users with access to the mobile Weight Watchers page at http://mobile.weightwatchers.com to access all the Weight Watchers Points Plus features from their mobile site. The Weight Watchers app is free but in order to use it’s features you must be a member of Weight Watchers with access to e-tools. Lifetime members (non paying members) are upset that they are not eligible to use the application, and it is unknown what weight watcher’s response to this will be. The app is very easy to use, and has a very clean interface allowing members to add their favorite foods, search for restaurant favorites and create meals and recipes right on their iPhone. Nike Training Club is an iPhone app that simulate having your own personal trainer right in the palm of your hands. The app allows you to choose from over 60 customized workouts to get lean and toned. These workouts have audio cues for professional certified Nike trainers. Videos demonstrating how to do each exercise are available. A clock counts down the workout as you work through each exercise. Workouts range from 30 minute cardio and strength training to 15 minute targeted workouts to work abs, arm muscles, leg muscles and glutes. Once workout is completed the user can update their Nike account online. This app was formally called the Nike Women Training App and has been modified for both men and woman. The app offers encouragement from some of the best female athletes in the world to motivate you to move on to your next workout.
